Track, Audit and Report Adjustments

Q: Which report will show any $ adjustments made on accounts?

A: The Daily Transaction Report shows all transactions within the specified dates. It can be run for more than one day. Say, for example, that I wanted to see all Principal Adjustments for the month. I would run the Daily Transaction Report for the month in question, selecting the Principal Adjustments transaction type. If I want to see all Principal Adjustments, Write-Offs, Discounts, etc., for a period of time, I would run the Daily Transaction Report for the period of time in question without specifying a transaction type. If I want to simply check all transactions for the current day, the Daily Transaction Report is a recommended end of day report, so I would just close the day as normal, and before posting the Daily Summary and closing the Cash Drawer to finalize the day, I would check the Daily Transaction Report and make sure that all transactions for the day have been posted correctly. Checking the Daily Transaction Report on a daily basis before closing is part of Alpha Omega's recommended end of day procedure. If you check and verify your transactions on a daily basis, there will be fewer questions and problems at the end of the month and at the end of the year.
